124) Airbourne-No Guts, No Glory 2010

Av Mikael Persson - 24 september 2012 14:03

Australia's Airbourne's 2nd album sounds very very much like their 1st from 2007. It's still a copy of AC/DC but not at all as good as AC/DC, but this album is at least a bit better than the last one. The songs are just better all through and there are some really good ones but also some that could have been much better with some more work made with them. Still, this IS kick-ass-rock'n'roll, so you might as well enjoy it!

1)Born to kill (7,5) Oozin', steamin' rock'n'roll but way too repetitive.

2)No way but the hard way (8,0) AC/DC-copy midtempo rocker that...rocks!

3)Blonde, bad and beautiful (6,5) Copy of the previous songs and deadly repetitive.

4)Raise the flag (8,5) Strong and intense rocker.

5)Bottom of the well (7,0)

6)White line fever (6,5) Just another song that sounds just like many of the others on the album.

7)It ain't over till it's over (7,5) Full tilt!

8)Steel town (5,5) Same same same...

9)Chewin' the fat (6,5)

10)Get busy livin' (6,5)

11)Armed and dangerous (6,0)

12)Back on the bottle (7,5)

Score: 6,88

Album number two from this incredible supergroup that made some unforgettable music in the 1980's! This is again melodic hardrock with a lot of keyboards and with impressing melodic, orchestral and powerful songs with fantastic vocals. A mus...

8 years into their albumreleasingcareer J. Geils Band released another album worth of rockin' and rollin' songs but this time they took a much calmer and poppier path and not all the songs are top class anymore. It seemes like they went out ...

This american doom-band has an interesting history. Formed as an side-project by Pentagram's Bobby Liebling and Geof O'Keefe and was completed with Randy Palmer as far back as 1973-74 when they also recorded some material which did not get r...

Another one of my favorite bands from the 1980's and 90's. I have always loved thier simple and bluesy hardrocksongs with singer Jack Russell's clear and sensetive vocals. This, their 3rd album is one of the highlights of the band's career a...
