This is a very secret band since I don't find much information about them. Seems like they are from California, USA and consists of Caleb on guitars and Ashton on drums and takes in various people for the rest of the instruments and also female vocals that can be heard on the album.

Their music is a heard-before and right now popular kind of 70's inspirated spaced-out rock with the heaviness of 90's stonerrockers Kyuss. Also Black Mountain comes to mind. The albums consists of only 8 real songs and the running-time is only 27 minutes so that's a big minus. I really don't think these guys care much about that, they probably want to play music, lie on the beach, be cool and get chicks all day long and to earn some money by putting out some music now and then.

Zakk Wylde was only 19 when he joined Ozzy Osburne as the bands guitarrist. He played with Ozzy for nearly 20 years and released a number of albums with his band Black Label Society which he started in 1998. BLS plays what Zakk says, no bullshit rock'n'roll. I'd like to describe it as beer- and boozeaffected heavy-as-hell bikermetal, the way heavy metal should be played. This album is the best I've heard with BLS. The bassist James LoMenzo has played with White Lion for some years He left BLS in 2005. Nick Catanese is an original member of BLS and has another band, Speed X, which has released an album.

1)Fire it up (8,0) Heavy as hell!

2)What's in you (8,5) Even heavier!

3)Suicide messiah (9,0) Heaviest there is and a superb track.

4)Forever down (8,0) Balladintro that bursts into a damn good and as usual heavy but melodic song.

5)In this river (7,5) A wonderful ballad dedicaded to Zakk's good friend Pantera's Dimebag Darrell that was shot on stage in 2004. A little too repetitive refrain though. Ozzy appears on guestvocals.

6)You must be blind (5,0) A very strange track with the same riff all the time. Don't like it.

7)Death march (7,0) Just a normal song.

8)Dr. Octavia (-) Fill-out guitarmadness.

9)Say what you will (8,0) A good uptempo rocker.

10)Too tough to die (7,0) Midtempo, nothing special.

11)Electric hellfire (7,0)

12)Spread your wings (8,0) Back to the heavy and good stuff!

13)Been a long time (8,0)

14)Dirt on the grave (7,5)

15)I never dreamed (9,0) A wonderful cover of the old Lynyrd Skynyrd-song from the 70's. Perfect ending to the album.

Beck continues with their weird kind of progressive rock/pop that really is very hard to describe. Melancholic but energic is a phrese that comes to mind. "21st century paranoia" I read somewhere and it fits, but I don't understand the point in this music. It does not speak to me at all.

was an American blues guitarist, chiefly associated with Chicago blues.

Phillips was born on a plantation and learned the blues from Memphis Minnie at an early age. He relocated to Memphis and played with Bill Harvey, Roosevelt Sykes, and Hound Dog Taylor. Following Taylor's death in 1976, Phillips recorded under his own name, as well as playing with J. B. Hutto, Lil' Ed Williams, and Cub Koda amongst others.

Phillips died of natural causes in August 1999, at the age of 74.[1]

Ronnie Hammond was the lead singer for successful southern rock band, the Atlanta Rhythm Section.  The group itself was born out of a group of in-demand studio musicians from the Atlanta, Georgia area.  When the band was recording their first album in 1972, Hammond happened to show up at the studio as an assistant  engineer, and once the guys heard him sing, they asked him to join the band.  Hammond sang for ARS on their first six albums, during their peak years.  In 1978, they released Champagne Jam which included the popular single of the same name.   It would become their biggest hit and take them from playing clubs and into arenas and stadiums.  In August of that same year, the band was invited by President Jimmy Carter to play at the White House.  Hammond left the group in 1982 to pursue a solo career.  He reunited with them in 1988 and continued on for the next decade or so.   On March 14, 2011, Ronnie Hammond died of heart failure.  He was 60.

Scott Columbus is best remembered as a two-time drummer for popular American metal band, Manowar.  Formed in 1980, the band eventually built a worldwide following for their raw and heavy sound that has been likened to that of Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and Hawkwind.  Their songs have tended to be aggressive and thematically violent, with the band dawning animal skins in concert to add to their primal image.  The band was once recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records for putting on the loudest concert, and for performing the longest metal concert which clocked in at just over five hours.  Columbus joined the band in 1983 but was forced to leave in 1990 to care for his ill son.  He rejoined the group in 1996 and stayed on board until 2008.  He made occasional concert appearances with them in recent years.  Scott Columbus was 56 when he passed away on April 4, 2011.  Cause of death was not immediately released.

New York:s Blondie released their 2nd album in 1977 and it included the worldwide hit Denis wich was a cover on a Randy & The Rainbows-song from 1963. The band really has a style of their own with their punkinspirated pop and rocksongs and progressive elements with weird lyrics and songtitles. I like the punkier songs best. Debbie Harry is also an actress and has released 5 solo albums. The drummer Clement Burke has played with The Romantics, Pete Townshend, Bob Dylan, Eurythmics, Iggy Pop and Joan Jett.

JLT is i a rockabilly-band from Järbo, Sweden. They signal that they are about 50's american rockabilly but the music is really a modern go at the mentioned style. All I can say is that they comes away with the modern mix in the old. I really like their heavy guitarsound, country- and boogieinfluences, sense for melody and good clear singing. The songs on this, their 4th album is not quite as good as the last album, but thats probably only because I like raw and fast rock'n'roll, the songs here are more midtempostyle and the albums doesn't keep the standard on the last 5 songs, but it never gets bad though! Love the cover!
