Another one of my favorite bands from the 1980's and 90's. I have always loved thier simple and bluesy hardrocksongs with singer Jack Russell's clear and sensetive vocals. This, their 3rd album is one of the highlights of the band's career and is full of L.A.-style hardrock but actually not with the "big hair" glam-attitude that most bands of the era were practicing, but with their own style.  This is a must-have-album if you like good hardrock!

Bassist Lorne Black died in 2013, 49 years of age.

1)Lady red light (7,5) Melodic and heavy midtempo.

2)Gonna getcha (8,0) Heavy rock.

3)Rock me (8,5) A 7-minute heavy and bluesy rocker that starts and ends with a slow calm part.

4)All over now (9,0) Rock'n'roll!!

5)Mistreater (8,0) Heavy!

6)Never change heart (7,5) More commercial one.

7)Fast road (7,5) A doublebassdrum fast track.

8)On the edge (8,0) 6-minute bassdriven midtempo.

9)Save your love (7,5) Powerballad in 80's-style.

Score: 7,94

This is the 16th album by the canadian bulldozer heavy metal-band Anvil. They just continued their journey in heavy metal with this album but had a new bassist; Christopher Robertson who replaced Sal Italiano. Christopher were prior to playing in the band a roadie for Anvil. As alway with Anvil there are some okey songs on the album but there always seems to lack something that makes the song good, just not okey. The power is anyway crushing! Anvil IS Anvil!

2)Up down sideways (7,0)

3)Gun control (7,0)

4)Die for a lie (7,0)

The 7th album from american songwriter and softrocker Browne. It was the 1st without David Lindley on guitar who was replaced by Rick Vito. The album was Browne's 4th top 10-album on the USA-charts and reached nr. 8 and stayed 33 weeks on the Billboard toplist.

The music is melodic laid back softrock with clear and melodic vocals which I have liked since the first time I heard him in the 1980's. All songs are okey, some are a bit better but I would like some heavier songs to lift the album.

1)Laywers in love (7,0)

2)On the day (8,0)

3)Cut it away (7,0)

4)Downtown (6,5)

5)Tender is the night (7,0)

6)Knock on any door (6,0)

7)Say it isn't true (5,5)

8)For a rocker (7,0)

Score: 6,75
