122) Accept-Stalingrad 2012

Av Mikael Persson - 3 juli 2012 12:13

This is the best Accept-album I have heard! I have followed their carreer since the middle of the 80's and respected them as a good live act with some good songs here and there on their albums but they have also made many mediocre songs. Their last album, the first with singer Mark Tornillo was quite good but I felt it could have been better, and that they have now done with this album wich I really enjoy listening to. At last hey have the power, the songs and the playing skills on one album!

1)Hung, drawn and quarted (7,5) Good and intense metal!

2)Stalingrad (8,0) Good and powerful midtempo song with a strong refrain.

3)Hellfire (8,5) Impressing for being Accept!

4)Flash to bang time (8,0) Superintense and great heavy metal.

5)Shadow soldiers (8,0)

6)Revolution (8,5)

7)Against the world (7,5)

8)Twist of fate (7,5)

9)The quick and the dead (8,5)

10)The galley (6,5) Unfortunately a not very good ending to a very good album. But the ballad-ending of the song is very nice.

Score: 7,85

Mark Tornillo-vocals

Wolf Hoffman-guitars (b.1959)

Herman Frank-guitars

Peter Baltes-bass (b.1958)

Stefan Schwarzmann-drums (b.1960)

Album number two from this incredible supergroup that made some unforgettable music in the 1980's! This is again melodic hardrock with a lot of keyboards and with impressing melodic, orchestral and powerful songs with fantastic vocals. A mus...

8 years into their albumreleasingcareer J. Geils Band released another album worth of rockin' and rollin' songs but this time they took a much calmer and poppier path and not all the songs are top class anymore. It seemes like they went out ...

This american doom-band has an interesting history. Formed as an side-project by Pentagram's Bobby Liebling and Geof O'Keefe and was completed with Randy Palmer as far back as 1973-74 when they also recorded some material which did not get r...

Another one of my favorite bands from the 1980's and 90's. I have always loved thier simple and bluesy hardrocksongs with singer Jack Russell's clear and sensetive vocals. This, their 3rd album is one of the highlights of the band's career a...
